Doubling and tripling (barefoot " no shoes"and bareback "no saddle") that's
if you didn't get a horse all to yourself. My early working life started in the TB Industry working as a TB stud assistant and Strapper.
During this period of my life i worked on various propeties on the Central Coast NSW, these included show jumping & show properties I then studied a Tafe course, Adv cert in Horse management, which led me to manage more horse Studs on the Central Coast. This led me to develop a keen interest in the sport of eventing.
I decided to head over to Europe and spend some time with the British Horse Society developing as an Instructor.
When i arrived home a fellow paddock agistee introduced me to Parelli and I
never looked back. My journey led me to finish my level 3 via the home study method. It was the development as an Equine Professional and the relationship development that created my desire.
My interest in Barefoot was almost forced upon me when I moved to the North Coast of NSW where I couldn't get the trims done well enough from the local Farriers' who did make the effort to travel.
I had always had a TB who couldn't ever go without shoes. It started to become something that really mattered. What changed it for me was when someone said to me " horse's really need ground time, they need contact with the earth". My TB's hooves were so badly cracked and flared, they were so big, let's just say they were in a state.
The next 3 months saw my horse with out shoes, cracks diminishing, much abscessing and soreness (due to the process they then had to go through in order to change for the better), hooves getting more and more shape and increasing soundness.
What had I done for him! Ten years..... of his life with hooves in that condition.
I had several horses and this was enough to make me want to make changes for them and get me into trimming hooves.
A farrier/horse friend suggested I just start trimming.
Then it just so happened that I started to do other horses hooves. Next was the interest in the Barefoot movement.
There was talk of Barefoot Specialists coming into the country and the wait was on. Busily reading books and searching the internet for anything barefoot also getting involved with a local Vet and a horse loving lady studying
equine Physio. The rest has been a development of my passion and a self discovery journey
that showed results, ethics and just made sense naturally. Riding a Real Horse Barefoot Bareback and Bridless.
Developing the Natural Equine Advantage.
I am now nearing the end of a minimum 4 year study with Parrelli (level 4). Through barefoot rehabilitation I have helped so many Lame horses to become sound and with that have educated their owners throughout the
process of change to barefoot and the effort it takes to get there.
All my horses are barefoot and are sound. I believe the health and benefits they have gained from this alone is second to none. My interest in the Vaquero Art and the Californio cowboy is strongly becoming the most amazing thing I have been involved in as this is now where my journey has evolved too.. Ranch Roping and the Art OfDressage with Cattle and forever seeking and learning in this industry that has become my lifestyle passion, the knowledge i have gained has set me up for a pathway that has now become a enjoyable, rewarding & fulfilling career.
I am now developing a future for the horse industry to promote the need for good horse care and better horsemanship.
Launching the Next Generation Training System with Jason and Joanne McInnes and building a support network for Natural Horse Lovers. Uniting Equine Professionals for the greater good.
The industry i have dedicated my life to has shaped the way i live & breathe and i owe this all to the greatest teacher of all.....
The Horse........

In the beginning practice is not easy. You may encounter difficulties or experience a loss of enthusiasm. Or perhaps there will be too much enthusiasm - then after a few weeks or months your enthusiasm may wayne. You need to develop a constant persistent approach based on a long-term committment.

The Biography of Cassie Grant.
For me, it is all about ..... allowing the horse to live in as natural a state as
possible within our changing world...my love and passion for this magnificent
animal allows me to express this through my understanding of them, thus
developing a natural equine advantage. The real equine advantage.... holistic
care and training systems are now my main focus.
It is my intention to help horse owners understand the beauty and joy of
discovering the real horse.
The majestic nature and intense passion we feel for horses can develop into
something that is so wonderful and beautiful.
The relationship you can develop can become absolutely priceless.
The development of you as a person and your horse as a partner.
True horsemanship is an Art.
Something to be proud of.... something that is respected and causes you to
be outstanding in the world of your horse.
My love of horses developed early. Horses were in the family.
My childhood was crammed with riding all the locally available ponies in the
neighbourhood.

Another wise saying that I took from the School was - "Don't get activity confused with achievement." i.e. lots of noise and hustle in the yards doesn't mean we are getting the job done faster!
